These are 2 of my favorite pictures. Everleigh definitely has Cody's nose and he says he hates that she got it, but I think he secretly loves that she looks like him! She already has him wrapped around her little finger.

More pictures

Here are a few more pictures. I just got the ones from Cody's parents, so here they are meeting Everleigh for the first time. These are from the day she was born and the day after. She already looks so different to me now!
We absolutely love our new family! I can't imagine our lives without her now that she's here. Being a parent is truly one of the best things ever. We both feel incredibly blessed to have a healthy baby girl.
I have more recent pictures that I will be posting soon...

Everleigh's here!!

She's here!! Everleigh Lauren King was born on Monday, February 8, at 4pm. She weighed 7 pounds 8.6 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Delivery really wasn't too bad. I'll blog about that part later. We have tons of new pictures to put on here from the past week and I'll update with those soon. She already looks so different!! Here are some pictures from the day she was born.

Baby Update

We are officially inducing on Monday, Feb. 8th. I had an ultrasound yesterday that measured her to be 8 lb. 4 oz. at 38 1/2 weeks! My Dr. checked on top of my stomach and said she thought she was about 8 lbs also, so she didn't think the ultrasound was far off on the measurement. I really had a lot of doubts about inducing, but with her being so big already, I know she's a healthy weight and I think it's time. I really don't want a C-section if at all possible and I'm hoping inducing a few days early will prevent that. My Dr. has told me that since I'm making progress on my own she doesn't think the induction will take very long and said there is little risk of a C-section this way. This is also great news b/c our family doesn't live here and now everyone who wants to come can plan ahead and make it - if I don't go into labor before then. It means a lot to Cody and I both to have the love and support of our family and to have everyone get to meet Everleigh. We will post pictures as soon as we have some! Please keep us in your prayers.

February baby!!

She is officially a February baby now. We weren't sure she was going to make it, but she officially did and we're pretty excited. I'm now over 38 weeks. I have an ultrasound tomorrow to see how big our little princess is getting since I was over 9 1/2 pounds and 2 weeks early myself as a baby. They say that can be genetic and my doctor wants to be sure she's not going to be too big. We may be inducing on Monday depending on ultrasound readings and exactly how uncomfortable I get (I'm not sure how much worse it can get!) I'll update soon and let everyone know!
